Welcome to Feltham Swimming Club |
 Club Championships Feltham Swimming Club was formed in 1966 and over the years has helped hundreds of local children to learn and develop their swimming skills. Although we are not highly competitive, our Junior and Senior Squads do compete regularly in various swimming leagues. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, family oriented club, for swimmers from 5 years of age and upwards, open to swimmers of all abilities! Our Coach and Teachers all have ASA recognised qualifications and really enjoy seeing the children develop their skills. Our main club night is Friday at Feltham Airparcs Lesiure Centre between 7pm and 10pm, so please come and join us where you willl receive a warm welcome. We also train on Mondays and Thursday |

About the ClubWe pride ourselves on being a small friendly family orientated club, with about 250 current members We have two primary aims:- The groups covering this development are as follows:
In the Teaching Pool
We have Jellyfish groups, starting with Jellyfish1 for non swimmers taking them all the way through to being water confident in Jellyfish 5.
When a swimmer has reached the necessary level of ability in Jellyfish 5 they may then move up to the splash pool.
In the Splash Pool
Sharks groups 1, 2 and 3. In these groups the swimmers are taught all four basic strokes, before moving on to the main pool.
In the Main Pool
This is where we focus on the competitive side of the club. Dolphins Groups 1,2 & 3, Junior and Senior Squads
Our training aims to produce Style, Speed and Stamina, and a swimmer in the Junior or Senior squad swimming all three available sessions per week can expect to swim a distance of around 4 miles per week!
Swimmers Development
For children in the teaching pool, Jelly Fish 1-5, they are assessed at the end of their 12 week term and the Parent / Guardian is informed which class they shall be in for the next 12 week term. Sometimes they will be asked to continue in the same class if the teacher feels they might not be ready for the next level.
In the splash pool swimmers are assessed every 12 weeks and are moved up to the next level as their ability develops.
In the main pool swimmers are assessed individually as there ability improves.

Swim 21 Feltham Swimming Club received its Swim 21 accreditation in 2006. This award is given to clubs who have shown a committment to and have reached a required standard in Swimmer Development, Club Management, Developing Partnerships, and Teacher and Coach Training. Credit should go go to the committee members who gave up a considerable amount of time to achieve our award. |
